MAP/RAP Testing
One of the most common ways infectious agents are introduced into an animal facility is through the use of infected tissues or cell lines. This is the reason we require MAP (Mouse Antibody Production) or RAP (Rat Antibody Production) tests to completed on all biological materials of rodent origin (or passed through rodents) before being brought into the facility. Copies of MAP/RAP tests should be included as attachments to your Animal Study Proposals if these materials are to used in your studies. Contact your Institute's Animal Program Director for more information on getting this testing done.
